Veterinary Assistant

The ideal candidate must be eager to learn, take direction well and be self motivated. Some of the main duties are as follows:

• Keep hospital in a clean, sanitary, and odor-free state, inside and outside.
• Set up and clean up of surgical procedures, including instrument pack sterilization
• Clean and stock exam rooms after office visits.
• Report and record important information about animals' conditions.
• Provide compassionate care and restraint for patients.
• Wash laundry
• Feed and care for hospitalized animals as directed by technician or doctor.
• Prepare animals for discharge (i.e., brushing and cleaning)
• Assist the technicians, client service team and doctors as needed.
• Assist clients with pets and products to and from their cars.
• Stock shelves and drawers
• Enter necessary items on the hospital supply list
• Perform hospital and equipment maintenance tasks according to the maintenance schedule.

Previous veterinary experience is preferred
