Orthopedics
We are proud to offer high quality orthopedic surgical procedures. These surgeries range from fixing fractured bones to correcting torn cranial cruciate ligaments (same as a human's ACL). We know that when your pet is hurt and facing a surgical correction, it is a significant decision for you, and a potentially stressfull situation. We discuss the different options available for each pet and help you, make the decision that is right for the given circumstance, so that you are comfortable in your choice. Our goal is to provide the best possible outcome at a reasonable price to both you and the hospital. We do our best to eliminate pain for your pet, and make the process pleasant for both you and your pet.
While we perform a vast array of fracture repairs, the most common orthopedic procedure we perform is repairing damaged cranial cruciate ligaments (CCL) in dog's knees. This is a common canine injury that with surgical repair provides significant immediate term and long term benefit to the patient. For specifics about managing this condition, please see our Cranial Cruciate Ligament Disease / TPLO / TTA Repair webpage .
AAHA Accredited Hospital
Being an AAHA Accredited hospital, you can have comfort knowing that your pet will be receiving the highest standard of care. We have demonstrated a commitment to this high level of care through adherence to the standards and passing periodic, comprehensive, third party on site and off site evaluations. Only 12-15% of veterinary hospitals in the US and Canada are accredited by AAHA, so we are very proud of this, and we know that it makes a difference in the overall quality of care that we provide to your pet, surgery included. For more details about the benefits of doing your procedure in an AAHA certified hospital, see the AAHA webpage.
In summary, we promise to communicate with you throughout the process, and make your pet's surgery as stress-free, pain free, and beneficial as possible.
